What does massage mean to you?

So what does massage mean to you? Many people look at massage as a luxury that's only meant for the rich. But in reality that's just not true. Massage is priced very competitively and can fit into many peoples budget. Massage should be an individual experience. No two people should get the same massage. In my opion at least. People can massage for stress relief, pain relief, positive touch and athletic performance.

No two massage therapists are alike. Some are what I call "bertha's" they can dish out the heavy pressure, and even bruise you. Then you've got the "fru fru's" they go very light on the pressure. Then you have the "in-betweeners" more of the medium pressure people. Each person has their own fit and preference. Personalities even play a huge role in the right "fit". I find in my own practice that a lot of my clients have a similar personality as mine.

So weather your someone looking to de-stress or get out of pain. Make sure your therapist is a good fit. Do they listen to you? Is the room and table comfortable? Did the therapist work within your comfort level? Are you making progress in treatments? Did you come out of the treatment feeling better or like you where just hit with a mac truck? These are all questions you should be asking yourself.

Massage should be a regularity in your life. Its the best way to keep you feeling your best.
